The Spanish Peaks Business Alliance 5th Annual Holiday Giving Celebration generated $25,773 in contributions from over 90 generous business and community members, for the benefit of 39 participating area nonprofits.
They also hosted a free community Holiday Mixer with a Taste of Spanish Peaks Country bringing back a welcome in-person celebration of the good work of these groups in the community with lots of holiday cheer. While donations were lower than in previous years, the nonprofit recipients have expressed gratitude to their supporters and assurance that donations will be put to work in the community. As stated by one fundraising recipient, Mrs Flamingo aka Sharona Whitley, "I am blown away by all the support and donations! With this amount, plus the books I have recently received, I will have enough to give each student in Peakview a book a month. Thank you so much for helping me reach that goal!" The 6th Annual Holiday Giving Celebration will kick off with a Holiday Mixer on Friday December 1, 2023. Mark your calendars!
