SPBA Raises $74,115 for Local Non-Profits

Writer: Michelle TschetterMichelle Tschetter

The Spanish Peaks Business Alliance (SPBA) Holiday Giving Celebration was created in 2018 to bring together community members, businesses and nonprofits to celebrate the season and to partner our members’ generous giving with the fundraising needs of our nonprofits’ many valued programs. The 4th Annual Holiday Giving Celebration was held this year December 6th - 17th for a total 12 days of giving, raising a record setting $74,115 for 27 participating member non-profits. A festive virtual Mixer on December 14th included a Holiday Cheer contest and presentations from participating nonprofit members of their missions, projects, and needs. Past year donors were presented with gift bags to enjoy during the Mixer with contributions from a number of our member businesses. Donations made online during the event through the SPBA website created lots of excitement along with announcements of the growing tally, a number of very special large individual donations and the official Holiday Cheer winner Sandy Dolak!

The SPBA congratulates and thanks everyone who made this event a success. If you mixed with us on Zoom, watched and shared a Facebook video, spread the word to friends and family, thank you - every bit truly helped reach and exceed our ambitious goals! We are so proud to demonstrate that our community is as generous in giving as it is in its charitable work.
