The Huerfano County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is currently fundraising to support the program grow and help the program to meet its local match requirements. All monetary donations this year will be put towards volunteer support in Huerfano County and the fundraising goal of $4000 needed to put on the 2023 Holiday Food Packing Event. These events bring 15,000 meals into Huerfano County around the Holidays using the power of volunteerism to pack nutrient-enriched food for area food banks and distributions. We are also looking for local sponsorships to contribute in-kind donations of snacks and drinks for volunteers, t-shirts and other equipment for volunteers, lunches, mileage reimbursements for volunteers, space and equipment for volunteer appreciation events, and any other ideas for collaboration.
