Santa Clause cruises in La Veta!
Due to the COVID-19 red status of the county the Spanish Peaks Chamber of Commerce will not be hosting the Santa Claus photo opportunity in front of Crafted in Colorado, downtown La Veta or in Walsenburg this season.
On Friday and Saturday, December 11 and 12 as well as December 18 and 19, Santa and Mrs. Claus and possibly some elves from his workshop up north will be cruising his sleigh in the downtown area of La Veta weather permitting. Cruising will take place from 10:00 – 11:30 and 1:00 – 2:30 Friday and Saturday. Social distancing will be enforced.
Deck the Halls Holiday Contest
KSPK, Bachman & Associates, and the Spanish Peaks Chamber of Commerce and holding an old-fashioned home holiday lighting decoration contest throughout the county. Make your home a showplace of holiday lights and decorations for cash prizes! To enter, click the picture below. Submissions due by December 20th. Enter your address and contact info and you are all set! A map of participating homes and voting can be found through the website through December 27th. Winners announced December 29th!
Downtown Business Decoration Contest
The Walsenburg Downtown Revitalization Committee would like to invite you to decorate your business for the Holidays. If you don't have a business to decorate please walk around downtown to vote for your favorite decorations December 18-21.
Gift of Art SPACe Gallery Show
Gift of Art Show at SPACe Gallery is running now through Saturday, Jan. 2. This is a La Veta favorite and promises to be better than ever, showing a nice selection of gift options created by local artists. The Gallery is also presenting works from the Art Council of Trinidad in their Fuller Gallery which will delight. The Gallery, 132 W.
